I'm excited about working with Habitat for Humanity on a women's build in Chatham. Every aspect of the house is built by women, from the lawyer who draws-up the sales contract to the plumbers and electricians. I was speaking with a woman who'd taken a week vacation to do a women's build. She said that it had been one of the best weeks of her life. That was five years ago and the women she met on the build are still among her closest friends.

Groundhog's day and my first official day of writing. Two pages so far about a young man named Eli November. That's all I can say. He's coming alive for me. It's absolutely intoxicating.
